Polish drinks company appoints AI robot as ‘experimental CEO’

Workers all around the world are already contending to grapple with the possibility that AI will soon take over their jobs.

But a drinks company in Poland has decided to embrace change from the top down – appointing an AI robot as its ‘experimental CEO’.

Dictador, best known for its rums, has appointed ‘Mika’ to oversee the company’s expansionary forays into new verticals such as one-off collectables.

The company’s Europe chief, Marek Szoldrowski, described his board’s decision as “revolutionary and bold at the same time”.

He added: “The first human-like robot, with AI, in a company structure, will change the world as we know it, forever.”

Mika’s tasks will include choosing artists to design custom bottles, communications, and strategic planning. However, key decisions like hiring and firing employees will remain under human control for the time being.

In an interview with news agency Reuters, Mika said:

“My decision-making process relies on extensive data analysis and aligning with the company’s strategic objectives. It is devoid of personal bias, ensuring unbiased strategic choices that prioritize the organization’s best interests.”
