Maersk A/S signed an agreement with SEGRO PLC‘s subsidiary SEGRO Netherlands BV to lease warehouse and office space in Amsterdam, Netherlands for several years.
The shipping and logistics company leased 4,000 square meters of warehouse space and 1,080 square meters of office space at the eastern part of SEGRO Park Amsterdam Airport in Hoofddorp, according to a May 8 news release from the industrial real estate company. Maersk will store its air cargo division at the warehouse.
The location is near Schiphol Airport and the A4, A5, A9 and A10 motorways.
Joost Schreurs, Development Manager at SEGRO Netherlands said:
“The BREEAM-certified building at Barnsteen meets the highest sustainability standards. This location is a businesslike, logical and future-proof choice for Maersk.”
SEGRO Netherlands also has locations in Tilburg and Venray in addition to the airport in Hoofddorp.
In June 2023, Maersk signed a lease agreement with SEGRO UK to occupy a 64,000-square meters warehouse at SEGRO Logistics Park East Midlands Gateway, the news release added.
The deal announcement between SEGRO and Maersk comes just a day after SEGRO announced another lease agreement with TVM Transport & Logistics Sp. z o.o. in Poland.
